The Card Hobbyist August in Review

Post Count: 19

Nineteen posts make August my most prolific blogging month so far this year, granted that Gint-A-Cuffs contributed a lot to that number

Total Pageviews: 927

The blog received nearly double the amount of pageviews in August than it did in July.  It's amazing the difference a few more posts can make.  If you write it, they will come.

The Braves...

...slipped in the standings in August by posting a record of 15-14.  They trail the Nationals in the NL East by 6.5 games although they do lead the Wild Card Standings.  They have lost 4 series in a row and hope to have a strong September to at the very least secure the Wild Card spot.  ESPN gives the Braves a 86.3% chance of reaching the playoffs.

The Dolphins...

...look like a team that is destined for a top 5 draft pick next year.  They went 0-4 in the preseason and they cut Chad Johnson after his whole domestic violence drama a few weeks back and traded cornerback Vontae Davis to the Colts for draft picks.  It looks to be another long season for this Phins fan.

The Hurricanes

...open their season today against Boston College at 3:30 pm.  Not much is known about the Canes coming out of fall practices as they're a young team hoping to improve on last year's 6-6 record.
