What's in the Cards for the NFC West in 2012?

So I picked up a couple of football blasters from Wal-Mart this weekend and I thought it would be a fun little idea to let the cards make their own predictions on how the NFL season will pan out.  I opted for one blaster of 2012 Score and one blaster of 2012 Topps Football.  Here's a simple scoring system I put into place for cards to make their predictions:

Base card = 1 point
Insert/Parallel = 2 points
#ed Parallel = 3 points
Variation SP = 4 points
Hit Card (relic, auto, manupatch) = 5 points

Let's do this division by division shall we.  First up, the NFC West

San Francisco 49'ers

4 Base Cards
1 Parallel (NaVorro Bowman glossy)
In the Cards Prediction Score = 6 points

With two kickers and two defensive players, the cards predict that the defending NFC West champs will have to rely heavily on their defense and special teams as well as solid play from QB Alex Smith in order to be successful in 2012

Arizona Cardinals

3 Base Cards
2 Inserts (Larry Fitzgerald - Prolific Playmakers, Michael Floyd - Hot Rookies)
1 Parallel Insert (Patrick Peterson - Numb3rs Game glossy)
In the Cards Prediction Score = 11 points

It seems that Arizona will succeed with strong play from wide receivers Larry Fitzgerald and rookie Michael Floyd.  However, the lack of quarterbacks in the box may show a QB controversy in the works for the Cardinals.

Seattle Seahawks

3 Base Cards
In the Cards Prediction Score = 3

The cards believe that the Seahawks may struggle again this year but look for rookie QB Russell Wilson and rookie LB Bobby Wagner to make strides and push for playing time.

St. Louis Rams

2 Base Cards
1 #'ed Parallel (Rams Camo border /399)
In the Cards Prediction Score = 5 points

The cards predict the Rams will improve from a nightmarish 2011 season with better defensive play behind linebacker James Laurinitis.  Chris Givens may emerge as a big play threat.

In the Cards NFC West Final Standings Prediction
1st - Arizona Cardinals
2nd - San Fransisco 49er's
3rd - St. Louis Rams
4th - Seattle Seahawks

My Personal Prediction
