The Card Hobbyist June in Review

Just a quick review of the blog, collecting, and sports for the month of June.

Total Posts: 5 (not including this one of course)

In general it would seem that I was a giant slacker when it came to writing posts this month.  Some of you guys in the blogosphere could have 5 posts easily knocked out in 2 days.

Total Page Views: 585

Once again, this may seem like a drop in the bucket compared to most of the card blogs out there and is most likely the result of my meager post count but I still get that warm, fuzzy feeling knowing that I do have readers out there.

Community Choice Collection Winners from 1997 Select
After several posts featuring my retro box break of 1997 Select, it seems everyone wanted to know how the voting turned out for the Community Choice Collection.  There was some star power behind this post with names like McGwire, Sandberg, A-Rod, and Griffey plus a couple of turtles.

The Braves

June started out promising for the Braves as they went 6-1 in the first 7 games to start off the month.  However, their inconsistent play has led them to a 7-11 record since.  They currently have a 41-36 record and sit 3.5 games behind the Nationals in the NL East.  ESPN projects the Braves have 48.4% chance to make the playoffs after this month.

  1. The Tony Phillips card is pretty awesome. I like how he's looking over to the plate.
