This card becomes the 3rd Athletic to become part of the WAR set and the 2nd Athletic from the 1990 Fleer set to be added. By the time 1990 rolled around, Rickey Henderson was already an established superstar and was serving his second stint in Oakland. That year, Henderson enjoyed one of the best seasons of his illustrious 25-year career. He led the AL in runs, stolen bases, on base percentage and OPS and finished second to George Brett in the batting title race. He also finished in the top ten in slugging, total bases, home runs, walks, and extra base hits. Henderson earned a Silver Slugger award and was voted to his 9th All-Star game. For all his achievements in 1990, Henderson earned his first and only MVP award.
