In 2008, Hanley Ramirez signed the richest contract in Florida Marlins history that would keep him in south Florida through 2014.  After signing that contract, Hanley went on to enjoy the best season of his still young baseball career.  Ramirez finished 2008 batting .301 with 33 homers and 35 stolen bases.  He became just the second Marlin to reach the 30-30 club after Preston Wilson did it in 2000.  Ramirez led the league in runs scored and was also among the top ten players in on-base pct, slugging pct, OPS, hits, total bases, homers, walks, and stolen bases.  He was also voted to his first All-Star game and won his first Silver Slugger award in 2008.

Loved to hit against Tim Redding: 12 for 25 with 5 home runs (1.748 OPS)
Loathes to hit against Johan Santana: 3 for 21 with 7 strikeouts (.360 OPS)

Here's a decent user created highlight video.
Wonder how long it stays up before MLB axes it into oblivion
